We are seeking to solve

  • Grid resilience

    As EV adoption becomes widespread the electricity distribution network will face significantly increased demand. The Government recognises that the National Grid will not be able to meet this increased demand in the short or medium term.

  • Highest emitting sectors

    UK transport and the built environment are the two sectors causing the highest emissions therefore needing greatest attention.

  • Range and charge anxiety

    EV car owners may experience range and charge anxiety due to concerns about the limited range of their vehicles on a single charge and the availability of charging stations. Additional factors can also affect the range of the vehicle.

  • Lack of infrastructure

    The UK has a growing network of EV charging infrastructure with over 29,000 charging points available across the country. However, there is still a need for significantly more charging points to support the increasing number of EVs on the road.

Our unique proposition

1. ECO-FRIENDLY RENEWABLE SOLUTIONS 

Working exclusively with the Bio-CNG technology which is an innovative off-grid solution that will help power the entire Buriton site.

2. LOCATIONS 

ReCharge One will roll-out the concept across National Parks and places of natural beauty and interest in the UK. The first site is located in the South Downs National Park near Buriton.

3. DEFENSIBILITY 

ReCharge One have already committed considerable investment, IP and expertise in obtaining planning permission at Buriton. The expertise and associated cost provide a strong barrier to entry.

4. BARRIERS TO PLANNING PERMISSION

Ian Johnston, Chair of ChargeUK, has said the greatest barriers to getting chargers in the ground were “the bureaucracy, the permits, the pieces of paper” around planning permission and getting the power networks to make grid connection available.
